To love and to hold (2)

Wedding engagement is such a beautiful experience for a woman.  From the time the proposal have taken place, the course of the wedding preparation until the day of the nuptial ceremony :)
However, the mix of emotions one can experience may range from magical to chaotic, special to taken for granted, dreamy to energy down the drain.
Please read how our sisters from Singles for Christ are blessed to see, know and feel God’s providence, His assurance and His greatness as an engaged woman :)

1. What are you most excited about the wedding day?

I am most excited about saying the traditional "I dos" on the wedding ceremony. Nothing beats the feeling of getting to say the usual words you hear but having to mean it very personally.

2. How do you cope with the stress/stressors/disappointments you have met along the way while preparing?

We cope up with stress and disappointments on our way to our big day by discovering more ways of loving each other. Taking turns in mixing our favourite coffee while deliberating on the details in our bridal workbook could really ease the tiresome hours.

3. So far, what are the lessons you have learned/learning? Realizations and discoveries about yourself and your partner

As far as where we are at now, we have learned so much about each other and together we have discovered that the true meaning of our need for each other is not because we make each other's life easier, but because we have realised that the love that binds us is truly God's greatest gift to us. The respect for each other is even growing deeper. The level of tolerance has been and is becoming flexible. Acceptance has evolved from mandatory to free willing. Our love does not only make our world go round, but enables us to fit in any shape, size and form of life where God is directing us.

4. Prayer for the wedding day

Dear Lord, despite of what the modern world is dictating today, we pray that both of us will have greater faith in the sacrament of holy matrimony. May the two of us, along with our families, relatives, and friends be united in love as we celebrate Your victory in blessing us with the sacrament that begins a family.

1. What are you most excited about the wedding day?

Walking down the aisle and meeting my groom at the end of it and fulfill what God has promised, His greatest plan; our blessed and graced wedding. And of course the day after, being with my husband for the rest of my life.

2. How do you cope with the stress/stressors/disappointments you have met along the way while preparing

We just talk about it. We’ve learned to become good listeners and open minded, keeping in mind that each one of us is God’s greatest gift to one another.
Lastly, we pray and lift everything up to God.

3. So far, what are the lessons you have learned/learning? Realizations and discoveries about yourself and your partner

A lot! I’ve learned that relationships will not always be good times and sweet moments, there'll be bad times too, but at the end of the day, we are able to get through it.  I get to know my fiancé better on the planning and preparation stage. I had proven that I can be patient in so many ways. My partner is a brat but I can manage. He can tame me and makes me learn to submit. I’ve also realized that it is expensive to mount a wedding, but GOD always provide. We have found out how much we loved each other that in spite of all the trials that had come in our way, we have been there for each other for 6 years through thick or thin, may it be sick or well, crazy moments or if I am having tantrums. He's been there to understands and unconditionally love me. He is my P.A. indeed (PRECIOUS ANGEL).

4.  Prayer for the wedding day.

Dear Father GOD,

We give You praise, worship and glorify Your name for You are our MIGHTY GOD.
As we go through our marriage, we humbly ask for your guidance and protection on this path we have chosen and strength to face all the challenges & trials which will come on our way. May You send us angels to keep us on track and keep this burning love for each other. Faithful GOD, may You always be with us and keep us reminded that You have given this gift of marriage for us to treasure as this is one of your precious gifts. May we always say yes to all Your calling and make us a true model of a God-centered relationship and family like Sagrada Familia (Sacred Family). In your mighty name, we pray. Amen.
